The platform to recover tickets to the Olympic Games, but also to resell them, opened on Wednesday morning, the organizers told AFP .
From the Paris 2024 tickets application, visitors who have purchased their tickets during the different sales phases will be able to obtain them and, if necessary, transmit them to the final recipients.
The pack sale , especially during the first phase, led to several group purchases, with family or friends, and will undoubtedly lead to resale, since not all combinations between sports were available.
From this platform, it will also be possible to resell tickets at the purchase price, with 5 percent of management costs borne by the seller and 10 percent borne by the buyer.
There are still many tickets left for the Olympic soccer tournament, but more than 8.27 million tickets have already been sold of the nearly 10 million on sale, the Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games (OCOG) reported.
A first wave of 250,000 tickets went on sale 100 days before the start of the competition, on April 17. The tickets will be equipped with a QR code that "will not appear immediately, to prevent counterfeiting," explained Michael Aloisio, delegate general director of the COJO, before the launch of the ticket application.
"We encourage all those who have purchased tickets to transfer them as soon as possible so that the beneficiaries can have all the information about their session," says the COJO.
Tickets for ceremonies, including the 100,000 paid tickets to access the lower quays of the Seine River during the opening ceremony on July 26, will be accessible, transferable and resellable starting in mid-June, the same source specified.
